Your support empowers the WVU Cancer Institute to reduce cancer health disparities, remove barriers to cancer care and create a healthier future for all. The WVU Cancer Institute is a place of hope – a place where the state’s top doctors and researchers come together to provide compassionate, high-quality care for a brighter tomorrow.
Gifts from supporters like you equip the Cancer Institute to provide individualized, high-quality cancer care close to home. As you consider where to direct your dollars, we encourage you to consider one of the following opportunities:
WVU Cancer’s Mobile Lung Cancer Screening Unit - 2W1226
- The WVU Cancer Institute’s mobile lung cancer screening unit, LUCAS, travels to underserved communities throughout West Virginia, providing state-of-the-art screening closer to home. Since LUCAS first hit the road in 2021, it has identified at least 25 lung cancers and 5 additional cancers. More West Virginians die from lung cancer than colorectal, prostate, and breast cancer combined.
The Connection 304 Fund - 2W1977
- The Connection 304 Fund is dedicated to supporting the WVU Cancer Institute by channeling resources toward its most urgent priorities. The fund empowers the WVU Cancer Institute to address critical needs, expand innovative treatments, and strengthen its programs, ultimately elevating cancer care for the community.
Soup for the Soul Fund - 2W1007
- The Soup for the Soul Program provides free lunches to patients while undergoing chemotherapy and infusion treatments. Through this patient care measure, the WVU Cancer Institute provides nearly 10,000 meals annually. Through this treasured program, a gift of just $10 - $15 can provide a nourishing meal and much-needed comfort to a patient fighting cancer.
When you make a gift – no matter the size – you help make an immediate impact for the WVU Cancer Institute.
