Eberly College of Arts and Sciences

Though our college has been around for a long time, we are never content with the status quo. The Eberly College of Arts and Sciences dates back to 1895. Nearly a century later, the Eberly family stepped forward with such generosity that we became the Eberly College of Arts and Sciences.

Our name is a reminder of how much of our College’s success is thanks to individual support from our alumni, friends, faculty, staff and students throughout the years. Philanthropy and private gifts are often the drivers of progress, and these investments come in all shapes and sizes. Your gift, no matter the size, demonstrates the power of transformation. This is the promise of growth and adaptability that makes Eberly College great.

As home to more than 6,000 undergraduate and graduate students, the Eberly College is the heart of WVU. Our students are transforming into leaders ready to make the world a better place. But we cannot help them do this without you.

The diversity of our programs mirrors the diversity of our students’ aspirations — from physics to philosophy. Our goal is to help turn their dreams into realities. Student loans and financial burdens should not hinder a student from taking advantage of all that higher education has to offer. We also strive to give students access to life-changing experiences outside the classroom, such as research, travel and community outreach.

Your gift today allows this College to continue — and grow — opportunities for our students.

Greatest Needs

The Eberly College of Arts and Sciences Greatest Needs Fund allows the College the flexibility to address our most pressing needs. Your timely gift supports everything from scholarships and academic innovation to the most promising initiatives for students and faculty.

Scholarships

The Eberly College General Scholarship Fund provides direct support where it is needed most--our students. Gifts to this needed area allow for tuition assistance to ease some of the financial burden our students face.

Academic Enrichment

Each year, Eberly's Academic Enrichment Centennial Endowment encourages students to take the lessons they have learned in the classroom and apply them in the real world.
