School of Public Health

WVU School of Public Health

The WVU School of Public Health has been at the forefront of improving health and well-being in West Virginia and beyond. As the state’s only accredited school of public health, we prepare future leaders, advance critical research and partner directly with communities to confront some of our most urgent and complex health challenges—from chronic disease and substance use to rural health access and health equity.

As a proud Mountaineer, you understand that public health is service in action. Your support on this Day of Giving helps ensure our students and faculty have the tools they need to protect communities, strengthen systems and save lives. Through scholarships, innovative research and community-based initiatives, your generosity creates real, measurable impact—today and for years to come.

Every gift, no matter the size, makes a meaningful difference. While you may direct your support to any fund, we invite you to consider these priority opportunities where your philanthropy can have an immediate and lasting effect:

OLLI Osher Lifelong Learners at WVU Fund (2V688)

Support for OLLI at WVU advances public health through lifelong learning, social connection and mental well-being. Your generosity helps individuals age 50+ remain engaged, active and curious—strengthening community health and fostering a more vibrant, connected West Virginia.

Dean’s Fund for Excellence in Public Health (2W605)

Public health demands flexibility and swift action. Gifts to the Dean’s Fund for Excellence provide critical resources to respond to emerging challenges, support students in need, accelerate impactful research and launch urgent community initiatives—exactly when and where they are needed most.
