2022 WVU Day of Giving

Help spread the word about WVU Day of Giving by sharing the promotional video from the @WVUFoundation Facebook account. The top three participating groups that receive the most shares of the video from their page before March 9 will win additional funding. 1st ($1,000) – Davis College | 2nd ($500) – Reed College of Media | 3rd ($500) – Honors College

Help get WVU Day of Giving going on Twitter by promoting the day and the unit you wish to support. The fifth tweet between 8 and 9 a.m. will earn $500 for their unit, the 25th tweet will earn $1,000 for their unit and the 50th tweet will earn $1,500 for their unit. Be sure to use #WVUDayofGiving and tag your specific unit in the tweet. 1st – The Daily Athenaeum and U92-The Moose ($1,500) 2nd – Reed College of Media ($1,000) 3rd – Women’s Leadership Initiative ($500)

Between 2 and 3 p.m. on social, post a special message of thanks to a first responder or frontline worker who is making an impact during the pandemic. Be sure to use #WVUDayofGiving and tag the specific unit you wish to support. The top three units will earn bonus funding. 1 – Davis College ($1,500) 2 – Reed College of Media ($1,000) 3 – Honors College ($500)

Between 4 and 5 p.m. on social, post a picture of your kid(s) in WVU gear on Twitter or Instagram and we’ll select three of the most creative to earn additional funding. Make sure to include #WVUDayofGiving and tag the specific unit you wish to support. 1 – WVU Chambers College ($1,500) 2 – WVU Davis College ($1,000) 3 – Mountaineer Athletic Club ($500)

Between 7 and 8 p.m. on social, share a picture of your pet(s) in WVU gear on Twitter or Instagram and we’ll select three of the most creative to earn additional funding. Make sure to include #WVUDayofGiving and tag the specific unit you wish to support. 1 – Reed College of Media ($1,500) 2 – Chambers College ($1,000) 3 – Davis College ($500)

After making a WVU Day of Giving donation, use the share feature from the confirmation page to tell others about your gift, using #WVUDayofGiving and #IGave and tagging the unit you gave to. At the end of the day, we will choose three of the most creative social posts from Twitter or Instagram to receive additional funding for the units tagged. 1 – WVU Cancer Institute ($1,500) 2 – WVU Online ($1,000) 3 – WVU Eberly ($500)

The top three participating groups with the most gifts from WVU alumni between 10 and 11 a.m. win additional funding. 1st place - Division of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion ($3,000) 2nd place - Chambers College of Business & Economics ($2,000) 3rd place - College of Creative Arts ($1,000)

Go above and go beyond by making a significant gift! The top three participating groups with the largest gift online between 11 a.m. and 12 p.m. wins additional funding. 1st place - WVU Cancer Institute ($3,000) 2nd place - Statler College of Engineering & Mineral Resources ($2,000) 3rd place TIE - Agriculture, Natural Resources and Design ($500) School of Medicine ($500)

If you’ve already made a WVU Day of Giving gift, we sincerely thank you and offer this challenge! The top three participating groups with a donor(s) who gives for the second, third or even tenth time between 10 and 11 p.m. will win additional funding. 1st place - Division of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion ($3,000) 2nd place - WVU Extension Service ($2,000) 3rd place - Agriculture, Natural Resources and Design ($1,000)

Simply write the unit/program of your choice on the card provided, take a photo or video with you and the card, and share online using #WVUDayofGiving. The best photo, video, or gif between February 28 to March 9 will be awarded $1,000 for the unit of your choice. Winner ($1,000) – Center for Veteran, Military and Family Programs
