Giving to the Dr. Robert E. Stitzel Emergency Fund is an opportunity to provide meaningful and direct support for graduate students who find themselves in emergency circumstances. The fund is managed by the Office of Graduate Education and Life, and over the years has helped to see numerous graduate students through unexpected hardships. Graduate students are a core part of the educational mission of West Virginia University, dedicating themselves to research, to teaching and to scholarship in all its forms. Qualifying recipients use their funding to overcome unplanned challenges so their focus can return to their academics. Your gift will help increase our capacity to provide aid directly to students and will continue Dr. Stitzel’s legacy of compassion.
