WVU Day of Giving offers a timely opportunity to recognize WVU’s incredible impact in West Virginia and beyond by honoring the WVU Medicine physicians, specialists, surgeons, nurses and more who save lives each day. Our celebration of philanthropy precedes National Doctors’ Day, a special occasion observed annually on March 30 to recognize the first time anesthesia was used to perform surgery back in 1842.
Celebrate National Doctors’ Day by making a gift on Day of Giving. Generous support for the Grateful Patients, Families and Friends program bolsters patient services, equipment and treatment programs for future WVU Medicine patients. Previous gifts have helped us honor our doctors, support advanced practice professionals and provide end-of-life care resources.
We also invite you to share your pride in the physicians, nurses and staff who care for our communities. Tell us about your positive experience with WVU Medicine caregivers by filling out our secure online form or by contacting Communications Specialist Cassie Rice at crice@wvuf.org or 304-554-0217.
Thank you for your continued support of WVU Medicine as we strive to improve the health of West Virginians and all we serve through excellence in patient care, research and education.
