Help Remove Nursing School Barriers at the WVU Medicine Center for Nursing Education
At the WVU Medicine Center for Nursing Education (CNE), we prepare the next generation of registered nurses to deliver compassionate, high-quality care across our communities. Our 21-month RN program combines rigorous academics with hands-on clinical experience, equipping students with the skills, confidence, and professionalism needed to thrive in today’s healthcare environment.
One of the most impactful features of our program is the tuition waiver option, which enables students to complete their nursing education with comprehensive financial support that includes books, laptop computers, uniforms, and supplies in exchange for a three-year work commitment with any WVU Medicine hospital after graduation. This innovative model leverages financial, academic, and non-academic support services to enhance student success and directly strengthen our healthcare workforce.
Why Your Support Matters
The demand for skilled nurses has never been greater. As healthcare systems face critical staffing shortages, the CNE plays a vital role in preparing nurses who are ready to step into practice and serve where they are needed most. Your support helps ensure that motivated, qualified students are not turned away due to challenges we can help them overcome.
Your Gift Creates Opportunities
The Center for Nursing Education covers the full cost of tuition, required educational materials and supplies for each student. Your gift helps support this investment and allows us to continue delivering a tuition waiver nursing education model.
