Office of Graduate Education and Life

Support graduate and professional students in their greatest time of need by donating to the Robert E. Stitzel Emergency Fund.

Managed by the Office of Graduate Education and Life, the Robert E. Stitzel Fund assists students who experience unexpected and documented financial hardship that negatively impacts their life and academic progress and cannot be reasonably resolved through other financial or community resources.

Your donation makes a direct impact on students. Here is how the Fund has supported past recipients:

“Thanks to the Robert E. Stitzel Emergency Fund, I was able to overcome personal difficulties and continue pursuing my graduate program. Since then, I have passed my comprehensive exam and began working on my dissertation.”

“Receiving emergency funding through the Office of Graduate Education and Life has been instrumental in supporting me mentally, financially and academically. When I found myself struggling to pay rent and afford school materials, the Robert E. Stitzel Emergency Fund helped me when I had run out of options. I am forever grateful to the Stitzel family for this wonderful and much-needed resource for students like me.”

Every dollar makes a difference. Thank you for supporting graduate and professional students!
