Davis College of Agriculture and Natural Resources

WVU Davis College of Agriculture and Natural Resources is committed to providing transformative opportunities for students, advancing cutting-edge research and driving innovation that supports the future of West Virginia and beyond. As the oldest academic unit at WVU, we remain true to our land-grant heritage by preparing future leaders to face today’s challenges and tomorrow’s opportunities.

Your support makes all the difference. By giving to Davis College on WVU Day of Giving, you provide our students, faculty and programs with the resources they need to succeed and make a meaningful impact on agriculture, natural resources and beyond.

Every gift, no matter the size, helps shape the future. Your generosity funds critical initiatives and ensures that our college continues to thrive in an ever-changing world. Consider directing your gift to one of these impactful areas:

Davis College Dean's Opportunity Fund (2U047)

Your donation to the Dean’s Opportunity Fund provides the flexibility to support areas across the college: from research to scholarships, to specific student and faculty needs and beyond. Your gift helps fund essential initiatives like the establishment of the Davis College Career Closet, new experiential learning projects and other efforts that help us advance our vision for a world sustainably fed, clothed and sheltered.

Scholarships (2S118)

Scholarships make a direct impact on the lives of our students. Your support helps provide financial assistance through initiatives, like the First Year Performance Scholarship, the Completion Scholarship and the Transfer Student Scholarship. These awards, funded through grassroots support and events like WVU Day of Giving, give students the financial freedom to focus on their education and future careers, making their dreams more achievable.

Appalachian Forestry Entrepreneurship Center Fund (2W1712)

Your contribution helps shape the future of forestry by supporting hands-on learning, research and business development. Donations to this fund allow students and faculty to drive economic growth in the Appalachian region by turning innovative ideas into sustainable businesses, preparing the next generation of forestry leaders to make a lasting impact.

Davis-Michael Endowed Fund for Pre-Veterinary Sciences (3V845)

Your gift supports animal science students by providing scholarships, funding research opportunities and supporting internships that give students valuable real-world experience. Donations also strengthen faculty development, enhance the learning environment for Davis-Michael scholars and bring expert speakers to campus to enrich the academic experience.

WVU Davis Success Center (2W2006)

A gift to the WVU Davis Success Center helps ensure that students have the support they need to excel academically, professionally and personally. Donations provide resources for career coaching, academic advising and hands-on learning opportunities that prepare students for success beyond the classroom. Your support can fund student mentorship programs, leadership development workshops and career readiness initiatives, all designed to help Davis College students navigate their education and future careers with confidence. Every contribution helps create a supportive environment where students can thrive and reach their full potential.

Berger and Green Hearts of Gold Greatest Needs Fund (Fund yet to be numbered)

Gifts to this fund support the Hearts of Gold Service Dog Training Program, which trains and places service dogs with veterans and individuals with disabilities at no cost to the recipient. Your support helps provide veterinary care, specialized training, food, housing, and placement of these highly skilled dogs, while also supporting hands-on learning opportunities for WVU students who help raise and train them. Each gift plays a direct role in restoring independence, confidence, and quality of life for those who rely on these remarkable dogs every day.

Click the GIVE button to make a difference where it matters most! A gift as small as $5 helps expand vital programs and resources—and every donation brings us one step closer to winning hourly challenges and ensuring that the WVU Davis College remains a leader in shaping West Virginia’s future.
