WVU Alumni Greatest Needs

A gift to the WVU Alumni Association Greatest Needs Fund provides flexible support where it matters most. These funds strengthen programs that serve students and alumni, expand engagement opportunities, and ensure the Association can respond to emerging priorities.

Your support through the Greatest Needs Fund empowers the WVU Alumni Association to invest strategically in students, alumni, and the future of the University.

Support from the Greatest Needs Fund directly advances:

Internships and Career Development

The Alumni Association hires student interns each year, providing hands-on experience in marketing, administration, hospitality, and event planning. Your gift helps students gain practical skills that prepare them for career success.

Engagement with Alumni and Friends

Through 70+ chapters and groups nationwide, the Alumni Association connects Mountaineers who volunteer, recruit students, host events, and raise WVU student scholarship funds. These efforts keep alumni engaged and extend the University’s impact across the country.

Student-Focused Programming

From scholarships and leadership opportunities to signature events and transition programming, the Alumni Association supports students at every stage of their journey, helping them move confidently from campus life to engaged alumni.

Professional Networking

Your support strengthens Mountaineer-to-Mountaineer connections, encourages alumni hiring, and sustains partnerships that benefit graduates, the University, and the state of West Virginia.

Alumni Travel and Outreach

Programs such as the WVU Alumni Newsletter and alumni travel programs keep alumni informed and connected everywhere. Your contribution ensures these resources remain strong and accessible.
