Community Engagement
Support the Libraries by donating on to our centers, museums, and other cultural programs rooted in giving back to our campus and West Virginia community.
WVU Libraries houses some of the most distinguished centers, museums, and other cultural programs within the University. Their main driver? Connecting people with information and culture by providing an array of educational and cultural tools, services, and programming for campus and the state of West Virginia.
- Art in the Libraries: Donate to WVU Libraries Special Initiative Opportunities – 2V892 to help this program continue incubating ideas that stimulate conversation, inquiry, discovery, and reflection across campus and beyond. From exhibits to public programs, Art in the Libraries brings students, faculty, and community members into shared spaces of curiosity. It builds bridges between library collections and fresh ways of seeing, learning, and understanding, turning research into dialogue and the Libraries into a living cultural commons.
- West Virginia & Regional History Center: Support one of the foremost historical archives and libraries in West Virginia with code West Virginia Collection Operations – 2U054. The History Center preserves a rich collection of archives and manuscripts pertaining to the history of West Virginia and the central Appalachian region. But certainly, more is needed to complete the story from all areas of the Mountain State and region.
- William A. Neal Museum of the Health Sciences: Give to WVU Museum of Health Sciences - 2W1211 to safeguard the interdisciplinary museum preserving and displaying stories and artifacts of cultural, artistic, historical, and scientific importance to the medical history of West Virginia and its flagship University.
- WVU Humanities Center: Donate to WVU Humanities Center Support Fund - 2W1365 to empower humanities across the WVU campus. The Humanities Center ignites, supports, and promotes humanistic inquiry as a vibrant cultural and intellectual hub of the University. From funding humanities scholars, research, and projects to bringing together community with thought-provoking events, the Humanities Center promotes the humanities and their intersection with other disciplines through faculty research and development, public engagement, and building community.
- WVU Press: Support the University’s publisher with code WVU Press Journals - 2V867. As an extension of WVU, The WVU Press serves the public good by publishing works of scholarly, intellectual, and creative merit. Their mission? To find, develop, select, and publish scholarship and creative works of highest quality and enduring value, helping to fulfill WVU’s land-grant mission through the publication of all such work.
