Mountaineer family, like you, can provide important opportunities for our humanities students and scholars, as well as the greater WVU community. The humanities connect us to our culture, values, languages, and history. The work of the WVU Humanities Center will inform and inspire generations of Mountaineers now and in the future.
Your support with a donation to the WVU Humanities Center Support Fund (#2W1365) empowers us to create incredible opportunities that include:
Health Humanities at WVU
The Humanities Center collaborates on projects like Healthcare is Human, supporting healthcare professionals and influencing the way patients experience care while making a positive impact on the lives of West Virginians. The current Recovery series will examine in-depth the experiences of individuals working in substance abuse recovery in the Eastern Panhandle of West Virginia.
Appalachian Writers/Artists/Scholars of Color Series
Started in 2020 and open to the public, this event series helps showcase diverse voices of the past and future with our state and region.
Humanities at Work
Studying the humanities helps our students work more effectively and creatively in any career pathway they choose. At the Center, we put on workshops and events to highlight the range of alumni career paths and current student's potential in those areas of interest providing opportunities for additional professional development along the way.
When you make a gift—no matter the size—you help make an immediate impact for WVU’s Humanities Center. Your spirited generosity and devotion to our Center is greatly appreciated
