Solving the challenges of heart and vascular disease in West Virginians does not lie with treatment alone. The answers start with scientific inquiry and research. The WVU Heart and Vascular Institute leads the way with a highly experienced platform upon which clinical trials are funded, staffed, and conducted.

We continue to be a top enroller in multiple National Institute of Health and industry-sponsored trials, as well as a major innovator in the scientific development of cardiovascular medicine. Our investment in innovation and commitment to research has afforded HVI faculty continued global prominence and success in our quest to eliminate heart and vascular disease. 

With your support, we are delivering the most advanced therapies to our citizens and discovering new tools to improve lives.

Heart and Vascular Institute Research Fund (2R011):  A gift to this fund will help advance scientific discoveries in treating heart and vascular disease, improving the lives of West Virginians.

WVU Heart and Vascular Institute Fund (2W788): Support for the fund allows us the opportunity to respond to our patient’s most pressing needs and helps faculty and healthcare workers provide programing to advance our mission.
