We don’t just educate and train nurses to provide compassionate care in the state and beyond, we prepare nurses for impactful contributions in the communities in which they live and serve.

Your support empowers the WVU School of Nursing to create incredible opportunities, including:

Forging the Future of Nursing in WV (Program Expansion)—Nursing is at all-time shortage never-before experienced in the United States. We must expand our programs and our campus locations to meet the growing needs of the industry.

Dean’s Fund—An unrestricted discretionary fund monitored and approved only by the Dean of the WVU School of Nursing, the Dean’s Fund has an impact far beyond the classroom. Often, the difference between a student staying enrolled and leaving college comes down to one simple textbook. Our Dean’s Fund helps our nursing students with financial emergencies that keep them enrolled and excelling in our programs.

Student Scholarships—Much like the Dean’s Fund for student emergencies, student scholarships can make the difference between obtaining a nursing education and not being able to afford nursing school.

Faculty Development—Our faculty are award-winning leaders in the field of nursing. Expertise like this doesn’t just happen: our faculty continue to engage in cutting-edge research, patient care, and student-centered learning activities to educate the next generation of nurses.
