CPASS students experience real world learning through internships with WVU Athletics and beyond. 

The College of Physical Activity and Sport Sciences continues to expand its relevance on campus, in the state of West Virginia and the world through ongoing and innovative programing, high quality research, community outreach and the training of future industry leaders.

Faculty, students and alumni have received multiple national and international awards, recognizing the contributions they have made to their professions. Within CPASS, we take pride in providing the best quality educational experiences and allowing our students to reach for and attain their career goals, while sticking to our roots as a student-centered college.

Why we need your support.

As state funding for higher education continues to decrease, CPASS must find new avenues to support its mission and promote healthy and happy lifelong experiences through advancements in sport and wellness related initiatives.

CPASS continues to grow and evolve, and we are currently educating the largest number of students ever enrolled in the College. To effectively educate our students, we are focusing on integrating innovative technologies and making advancement our priority. As we transform the lives of our students, we need your support as we prepare students to be leaders in their fields. 

How you can help.

Your contribution, of any amount, matters. Donor gifts will help enhance our students’ academic experiences, career development, and our ability to promote a dynamic and inclusive environment for all as we strive to enhance the sport and wellness opportunities in West Virginia and beyond.

Please consider focusing your gifts on the following funds to help meet the overall needs of CPASS:

CPASS Special Projects(2V358) - This fund will support the College’s most critical needs, including retention, scholarships, programming and maintaining a diverse learning and working environment.

CPASS Dean’s Fund (2U043) - This fund will support activities that endeavor to recognize success and support individuals to achieve their goals.

CPASS Scholarships (2S621) - This fund will be used to support the CPASS scholarship fund to help make college affordable for all students. 

WVU Day of Giving Challenges

With challenges taking place throughout the Day of Giving as well as on social media before March 3, there are multiple opportunities to amplify your gift. Below are just a few ways you can enhance your donation to the college.

Participation Leaderboard

Make a gift to your favorite area of CPASS to help keep us at the top of the leaderboard! The top 30 groups will win additional funding.

Most Gifts Challenges: 7- 8 a.m. and 1-2 p.m.

The top three participating teams with the most gifts between the hours above will win additional funding.

Tweet Challenges: 8-9 a.m., 10-11 a.m. and 7-8 p.m.

Help us on Twitter with morning and evening pushes for WVU Day of Giving. The fifth tweet between each of the three hours, above, will earn $500 for their unit, the 25th tweet will earn $1,000 for their unit and the 50th tweet will earn $1,500 for their unit. Be sure to use #WVUDayofGiving and tag @wvucpass in the tweet.

Help spread the word about WVU Day of Giving by sharing the promotional video from the @WVUFoundation Facebook account (posted on February 23).
