Why we need your support
Though our college has been around for a long time, we’re never content with the status quo. The College of Arts and Sciences dates back to 1895, but 25 years ago, we transformed. Nearly 100 years after our founding, the Eberly family stepped forward with their generosity, and we became the Eberly College of Arts and Sciences — the first time WVU honored a donor with a college name.
As we celebrate our 25th anniversary as the Eberly College, we remember that philanthropy and private investment are often the drivers of progress. And these investments come in all shapes and sizes. Your gift, no matter the size, demonstrates the power of transformation. This is the promise of growth and adaptability that makes Eberly College great.
As home to more than 6,000 undergraduate and graduate students, the Eberly College is the heart of WVU. Our students are transforming into leaders ready to make the world a better place. But we can’t help them do this without you.
The diversity of our programs mirrors the diversity of our students’ aspirations. Our goal is to help turn those dreams into realities. Student loans and financial burden should not keep a student from taking advantage of a life-changing experience.
Your gift today allows this College to continue — and grow — opportunities for our students.
How you can help
The Eberly College of Arts and Sciences Greatest Needs Fund allows the College the flexibility to address our most pressing needs. Your gift supports everything from scholarships and academic innovation to the most promising initiatives for students and faculty.
The Arts and Sciences Scholarship Fund allows the College to direct support where it is needed most. Gifts provide tuition assistance to ease some of the financial burden our students face.
Academic Enrichment Centennial Endowment
Each year, our Academic Enrichment program makes it possible for students to take the lessons they’ve learned in the classroom and apply them in the real world.
