The WVU Libraries serve as intellectual, cultural, and social centers that support the University’s goals to help our students be successful in their academic pursuits and attain national research prominence; We also serve as an essential information resource for the people of West Virginia.

Because student and researcher Greatest Needs are constantly changing, and the technology we use and the expertise we provide are evolving rapidly, the role of the University libraries are more important than ever, and donors help us achieve our goals and reach our varied communities.

Donor funding allows WVU Libraries to preserve and highlight our rich history and heritage with projects and collections in the West Virginia and Regional History Center, but also look toward the future with new and in-demand materials and resources. We’re also striving to support initiatives to help break down barriers to access high-quality research and welcome new voices to the scholarly conversation in West Virginia and worldwide.

Through the WVU Humanities Center we are strengthening the teaching and study of the humanities by developing programs such as Humanities at Work, that connect the specialist knowledge learned in the classroom with the way we live, all the while fostering a rich understanding of our shared narratives.

Thanks to your support, we continue to evolve as a great library, able to meet the changing research and teaching needs of this campus and our region. We encourage you to take a look at our Library offerings and support your favorite area of interest. Everyone will benefit.
